GCT is a leading company for South-South cooperation. In 1985, GCT established with CNCCC of CHINA and PIC of KUWAIT a joint-venture for  the production of NPK in CHINA. The joint-venture company is called SACF(Sino Arab Chemical Fertilizers co). The plant  is located  in QINHUANGDAO/HEBEI province. It started production in 1991 with a capacity of 480000 T / year of NPK. In 1998, SACF, became the largest plant in the country, reaching a total production of 722000 T.
