Dicalcium phosphate (DCP) is used in animal feed, as a source of calcium and phosphorus.

DCP has been produced by  GCT in Gabes since 1978, part of which is meant for the local market.

In 2007, GCT has produced 90 000 tons of DCP mostly exported.
