Taking into account the position hold by GCT in the international fertilizer market and in order to diversity   its production adapting it to the growth of the fertilizer world demand, GCT has created, twenty  years ago, important units for the production of more elaborated fertilizers such as diammonium phosphate (DAP) .

The DAP plant started  operations in 1979, a further step towards more integration of the phosphoric acid produced at the Gabes industrial site.

Production capacity :

Initial capacity granulated DAP 18-46 is
1000  tons/day.

Current nominal capacity is
2200 tons /day, 650 000 tons /year.

In order to consolidate its status in the fertilizer sector and for more integration of its phosphoric acid  merchant grade production. GCT put a second DAP plant into operation in 1985.

Production capacity :

Initial capacity granulated DAP 18-46 is
1200  tons/day.

Current nominal capacity is
2200 tons /day, 650 000 tons /year.
